Introduction:

What is the value of a mom? Can anyone be a mother? Can a man be a mother? What makes a wonderful mom? Does it matter if we are half-hearted in our role as a mom?

As a mother of seven, I’ve spent the last 30+ years asking these questions. Lately though, with the divisive and deceptive discussions around sex and gender, it seems that the very value of mothers is being maligned. Many will say that a child having two dads or two moms is just as good as having a mom and a dad.

When the conversations become convoluted and the questions prove to be difficult, Christians should always turn to Scripture. In this month’s study, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. God’s Word declares that we have been created male and female. Marriage was God’s idea, and its primary function is the raising of godly children.

After all, it’s a mother’s love and devotion that helps raise children to be kind and godly adults.

In this study, we’ll talk about why God desires that as mothers we are devoted to Him and to our families. We’ll talk about what it takes to care for our children from a biblical perspective…body, soul, mind, and spirit. We’ll touch on the beauty of homemaking and learn why being devoted to your marriage produces generational blessings. Finally, we’ll study what God says about the incredible power of prayer in the life of a mother.

If you need to be reminded of God’s heart for you as a mother, or if you know someone who does, this study is for you. God’s beautiful creation of mothers reflects His heart and displays His glory. Mom, you’re the only mother your children will ever have. You’re irreplaceable.
